Murder investigation launched – Abingdon

Thames Valley Police's Major Crime Unit has launched a murder investigation following the death of a woman in Abingdon. 

At around 2.20pm on Thursday (10/9), officers were made aware of an unexplained death at an address on Appleford Drive.   

Sadly, a woman in her eighties was found dead. Her next of kin have been made aware and are being supported by specially trained officers, at this time. 

A 36-year-old man, from Abingdon, has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody at this time.
